I am interested in examining factors within the physical and social environments that influence sustainable behavior change, personal self-care, performance, and goal attainment within the areas of health, sports/athletics, and fitness.
Values-Focused & Behavior-Based Coaching
I am interested in identifying and examining the influence of coaching behavior on performer behavior, goal outcomes, behavior, and preferences. I am also interested in the application of Acceptance & Commitment Training (ACT) practices to health, sports, fitness, and executive coaching interventions. My goal is to develop a set of coaching guidelines and a validated approach to values-focused and behavior-based coaching.
Organizational Performance & Wellbeing
I am interested in identifying organizational and individual-level interventions that support sustainable change that adds value to the workplace, positively impact workplace culture, and cultivate an organizational culture that supports both employees' wellbeing and a healthier bottom line. I also evaluate characteristics of common performance management strategies, such as performance feedback and goals, and performance-contingent consequences to evaluate effects on employee health, wellbeing, and performance.
